Version 0.5 Released!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to announce that version 0.5 is now released on Windows and MacOS! I am hopeful now that my next release will be the final version of the game, and will likely be ready sometime mid-late January 2020. Please let me know if you have any feedback on this version by leaving a comment on this post. But without further ado, see below for a list of features added in this version:

New Features in v0.5:

• Bigger Map
  • The desert outpost map has been greatly expanded with new areas hidden behind gates which the player will need to spend points to open
• New Enemy Type
  • A new enemy type, known as "Big Boys" have been added to the game
  • These mini-boss type enemies will spawn every 5 rounds and will be sure to give the player quite a challenge
• New Spawning System
  • The spawning system has been completely rebuilt to facilitate more fair and fun enemy spawning
  • Enemy spawns are much more varied and random now
  • Enemies will no longer spawn too close to the player, which was unfair in previous versions
  • Upper rounds will no longer spawn all of their enemies at the beginning of the round, instead spreading out the spawns over the duration of the round, this will create a lot more challenge for the player and force them to stay on their toes
• Perks
  • Perks have been added to the new areas of the map which will incentivize the player to explore and open up as much of the map as they can in each run
  • The locations of each perk are randomized in every game so you never know which perk you are going to get next
  • List of perks added:
    • Armor - Increased health
    • Commando - Increased damage
    • Slight of Hand - Faster reloads and aiming
    • Extra Holster - Ability to carry a third gun
• New main menu sound track
  • A new main menu sound track has been created for the game by the very talented Xander de Beer
